It's safe to say Leeds has an array of vintage and independent stores to fill your time during weekends. We love wandering around vintage stores and independent bookshops. We've compiled a list of our faves which are 100% worth a visit when you’re short of things to do in Leeds.
Blue Rinse
Leeds oldest vintage shop, a fab spot to pick up vintage over a couple of floors. Expect to find something for any and every occasion including womenswear and menswear pieces. By the market, you’re surrounded by stunning architecture.

The ~best~ branded vintage and rework gems (see what we did there). You’ll find Carhartt, Stone Island and Evisu. Don’t be afraid to ask the staff for help - we love the friendly vibe in there!

Pop Boutique
Shop homeware, accessories and clothing in their newest location in the Queens Arcade. We love their selection of vintage clothing on offer and the decor for their store is like heading into a vintage arcade.

Get Baked
Find your inner Brucey from Matilda with their remake of the famous cake in the heart of Headingley. If you’re around the Headingley area, it’s a must visit. We also love their cookies and pies. It’ll be hard to find a better dessert in Yorkshire!

Jumbo Records
Located in Leeds' Merrion Centre is one of the major record stores in Leeds, Jumbo Record. Find all types of genres from Reggae to RnB, Drum and Bass to Disco and everything in between. Niall - our Retail Stock Coordinator loves to trial before he buys, which you can do so in the back section of the store!

Hold Fast
Hop on a floating bookshop on a 76 year old boat situation by the Leeds Docks, stocked to the brim with fiction, nonfiction and self help books too. In the entrance you’ll also find an array of named houseplants that are available to buy!

Village
Located above the skate shop Welcome is Village. A banging bookshop featuring independent magazines with a gallery space that often holds exhibitions for local artists. You can grab a coffee at the till and have a sit down with your new fave read. Warning - it will be hard to leave empty handed.

Our favourite place to get film developed, whether it’s 35mm or large format, Take it Easy is your place to go. We love the family run vibes and how affordably reliable their services are. They often run events which are worth getting involved with the community.

Corn Exchange
A short walk from the bus station houses independent shops in abundance, finding prints, books, dried flowers and vintage! You can also stop for a bite to eat and a coffee in one of their independent cafes, or even treat yourself to a new piercing.
