It’s Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day tomorrow! 🎄 This day is all about wearing a silly festive sweater to raise money for a charity that helps children all over the world learn, grow, and become who they want to be. To support the cause, we’re selling festive jumpers online and in our Sheffield store. For every jumper sold, 50% of the sale price will got direct to Save The Children to help with their amazing work.
Since Christmas is all about tackiness and doing nice things for others, we think our jumpers are the perfect festive fit to spread a little cheer this season 🌟
DREAMING OF A GREEN CHRISTMAS
Let’s be honest, you’re probably only going to wear a Christmas jumper a couple of times, so buying one that’s brand new is pretty wasteful. Environmental charity Hubbub, say that Christmas jumpers are a “prime example of fast fashion”, given that they need a lot of resources to create, but are only worn once or twice. They also found that 95% of Christmas jumpers are made using plastic, therefore contribute to the plastic pollution crisis. Despite this, they predict that the UK buys 12million new Christmas jumpers every year. Not so cheery news 👎 So if you’re going to be buying a Christmas jumper this year, please choose second hand ♻️
