Manchester’s high street is one of the best in the UK, especially for us northerners. As it’s a larger city a stone's throw away from our Sheffield store, a lot of our team spend time here on their weekends or days off, so we’ve compiled a list of our favourite independent and vintage shops that you should definitely head to when spending a day or two there. Hint, a lot of which are in the Northern Quarter.
Unitom
UNITOM is an independent visual arts orientated bookshop, magazine store and gallery offering a hand-picked selection of cultural reads. Find them in the loved area of the Northern Quarter.

One of our Leeds faves also opened a little store in Manchester. Village is a magazine and book store, offering independent reads, coffee and exhibition space for local and upcoming artists.

The shop is full of hand-picked vintage items, with lots of big brands and designer labels to shop through. The main location of their store is on Spear Street but you can also find them in a little pop up stall at HATCH off The Oxford Road Corridor.

Head up to the first floor for this body piercer and jeweller stall, the staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you might need help with.
Pop Boutique
A vintage shop that has traded in the same spot in Afflecks Palace since 1984. Selling vintage clothing from the 30s, 40s and 50's and the best of the sixties. Now also stocking your favourite brands including Levi’s, Nike, Carhartt and more.
