Our debut Spring/Summer 21 Remade Collection is here! We wanted to create this page to give you a bit more information about how the collection came about and hopefully help you get to know the pieces a bit better, especially if you’ve got here by scanning the QR code on the inside of your garment.
Each piece in the collection has been curated, manufactured and shot in-house at our South Yorkshire warehouse by our amazing team of graders, designers, machinists, cutters and photographers.
“The concept of this collection was to show what happens behind Glass Onion’s doors and create products that represent Glass Onion’s past; where we’ve been and where we’re going as a business".
“The products used as a basis for the collection are all staple vintage items such as USA Collage print sweatshirts, Ralph Lauren shirts and polos, graphic tees and Levis jeans. These have then been deconstructed and created into something completely new for this season. The idea was to create products that were fully interchangeable with each other”.

Some of the vintage products used to create the designs were damaged and unusable as stand-alone items. Through the recreation of these unwearable pieces, the damaged materials have been saved from landfill and can now be worn again for years to come in the form of these new designs.
Where possible we reduced the volume of material waste by reusing the off-cuts of one design to facilitate another. As demonstrated here, the Reversible College Print Bomber has been created by combining three print sweatshirts. The ribbed hem taken from the sweatshirts during the production process, has then been reused as a neckline for the Graphic Panelled Tank and T-shirt designs. Similarly, the Ralph Lauren lining in the bomber is made using the excess fabric from the Shirt Anorak design. The final elements which complete the Reversible College Print Bomber design are reflective piping, YKK Zips and UK manufactured ribbing.
