Leeds Dock
For those who love to be by the waterside Leeds Dock is perfect for a Sunday morning stroll. Grab a coffee and a pastry from one of our favourite spots too or on an evening enjoy a cheeky pint from one of the pubs or bars.

Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Start your route by Water Lane Boathouse, one of our fave bev spots, to take a walk by the waterside. If you have a bike, we recommend heading near Kirkstall Abbey to see one of Leeds’ landmarks.

Roundhay Park
We love Roundhay Park for a short 3 miles from Leeds City Centre, it’s known to be one of the largest city parks in Europe 🤩! Enjoy a walk around the lake with a coffee from the lakeside cafe.

Golden Acre Park
Escape out of the Leeds city centre to Golden Acre Park. Grab an ice cream at the main car park to enjoy on your walk of a stunning 179 acres of mature woodland and gardens surrounding a beautiful lake.

Otley Chevin Forest Park
A great circular walk which can be finished enjoying the sunset from 280m above sea level. We love to take a flask in winter and wrap up warm. Paths can be a little steep and challenging, defo not to be done on a hangover.

Temple Newsam
Enjoy this Tudor-Jacobean mansion in East Leeds, with gardens and a farm and get lost out of the city. It’s best enjoyed having a walk around the 1500 acres of greenland and visiting the farm. This location is perfect for walking or cycling and for all ages, if you’ve got family to take out for the day or want to enjoy a saturday afternoon in the great outdoors.

Middleton Park
Located in the heart of South Leeds is Middleton Park, a great park for a short or long walk not far from the city centre. We love the little fishing lake and having a watch of the bowling green. Take a book in summer to have a read enjoying the views of nature.

Gledhow Valley Woods
This stretch of woodland is a hard spot in Leeds not to love! Surround yourself in greenery, wrap up in Autumn and witness the orange hues appear throughout. Located nearby Oakwood, a little town vibe out of the city centre.

Primrose Valley Park
A delightful large park featuring walking paths through woods and meadows. Enjoy a picnic in summer with their picnic tables. Think of a quieter alternative to Roundhay Park, with great views across the city when venturing up to the higher spots.

Eccup Reservoir
Get them 10,000 steps ticked off at the circular route of Eccup Reservoir in Alwoodley, Leeds. Enjoy scenes of West Yorkshire's largest open water spanning across 91 hectares. It’s also a great place to spot a Red Kite!
