Where Locals in Manchester Go For Brunch: The Best Cafes

Heading out for lunch or need a coffee to go? Whether it’s a banging sandwich or a perfected roasted cuppa coffee, we’ve got a list of our favourite places to go to off the beaten track, where the locals love it.

Just Between Friends

A simple, cosy cafe located in the Northern Quarter. Serving food, coffee and other warm and cold drinks. We love that the take away cups are also made from recycled materials.

Foundation Coffee House

Another Northern Quarter favourite is Foundation coffee house, a bright white tiled space for espresso drinks and light meals in industrial chic surroundings. We love it here for an afternoon of work, or to take a book to have a little read in.

We love a cosy spot, Fig + Sparrow is definitely that. Serving delicious innovative breakfasts, try their on toast menu for a classic avocado on toast, or their boujee option, Truffle Honey Goats Cheese.

A down under inspired spot up north. Expect brunch, brews, bakes and booze from Pot Kettle Black in Barton Arcade, or at their spot on Angel Gardens. Their brunch menu is packed with Aussie inspired bites including French toast and poached eggs. They really do it all, with their offering of roasts on Sundays too in their Angel Gardens location.
